426 pack Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 It is a revell kit that the back of the roof has been chopped about 3mm and the trunk was dropped down about 2mm. The engine is a gmc in-line 6 with the tri carb setup from the kits engine. Comments welcome
#1 model citizen Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 (edited) That's an interesting engine choice. (I am so bored with small block Chevys!) Are you going for a traditional period build? Edited March 20, 2018 by #1 model citizen
espo Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 I applaud your "Dare to be Different" ideas on this Merc.

Are you going for a traditional period build? Thanks. I like doing unusual engines in my project. I am trying to go for a traditional period biuld. Thankfully I have a 1977 issue of street rodder with about 20 pages of 49-50-51 Mercs that I’m using for inspiration. 5 hours ago, PARTSMARTY said: This will be very cool !!! 2 hours ago, espo said: I applaud your "Dare to be Different" ideas on this Merc. 426 pack Posted March 20, 2018 Author Posted March 20, 2018 (edited) I started on the bodywork today and lowered the suspension about 3mm Edited March 20, 2018 by 426 pack
426 pack Posted March 21, 2018 Author Posted March 21, 2018 I finished the body work and now I want to paint it. The only problem is that I don’t know what colour it should be. So if anyone has a suggestion for a colour that would look good let me know.
