JollySipper Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Hey, Guys....... I want to order the Italeri 1/48 V-22 Osprey, and I'll need to order the paint for it when I do.... Who makes the light blue/gray color used by the Marines on these aircraft? It will need to be in a spray, as I don't have an air brush......... Thanks for any help!

JollySipper Posted April 2, 2018 Author Posted April 2, 2018 ".......with Scale Fade" Wow! Thanks, Joe, but that seems to be the MV-22B scheme, I'd like to do the plain V-22 so I can do a solid color if I can......... Would one of those grays on the color chart be what I'm looking for?
SfanGoch Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 There is no "plain" V-22 with the exception of the pre-production aircraft which has the designation of V-22A. "V-22" is a general designation. The USMC uses MV-22B's, the USN uses CMV-22B's and the USAF uses CV-22B's. All are/have been painted in multi-color schemes since they were accepted for service. Check out Bell-Boeing V-22, paint schemes and more for the various schemes used. Also, here is the instruction sheet for the kit so you can familiarize yourself with the assembly.
JollySipper Posted April 2, 2018 Author Posted April 2, 2018 Thank You, Joe! That's gonna be a real big help, man......... very cool......... this is my first real undertaking of a Military Bird, and I want to get it right....
