It's been almost 40yrs since I watched that show.

Feels like a time to revisit. I have the DVDs

I have never seen the show. So I never understood why a spaceship would look like and be named after and old WWII Japanese battleship? That said, I do think you did a good job building the model, Steve.

It's even more direct than that: in the show they raised the Yamato from the ocean and fixed her up to be the starship.
