Idea is to make a starting point for custom car bodies dimensioned like a T body.

Smooth out cowl.

Trim down 'bathtub' rear lip.

Best part is style a more useful 'turtledeck'.Rounded fuller.

All that is left is a front grill and just panel between grill and cowl.

This is scale building before doing the real thing.

This XR6 like roadster is a real good idea.

You can build a sportscar the same as building a bucket t.

I like this idea a whole lot.

Just in case somebody doesn't get it.

The thing is to make it LIKE the XR6 not exactly like it.

Use the same process.Does not need to be so show carrry.More like a Kurtis 500S

Thanks Jim!

Have the little list here:

Jimmy Flintstone '27 T body and nose

Van Aken clay.

Fix printer to scan and post drawings on forum.

Looks like we better get busy huh?

What we did get done was this:

Test Testor's enamel paint.Yes,It's more like paint from when I was a kid than acrylic.

Tested gluing balsa with medium CA glue. It works like we were looking for.

Have a good one

Looks like you're not.

This appears to be based on a 1/25 scale Flintstone shell, from what you've written and linked to above.

This section, called "Big Boyz", is for larger scale models.

Am too!

That 1/25 body is to look at it and modify the shape of it in final 1/8 scale clay.

If your demanding I go hunt down a 1/8 scale '27 T roadster body that ain't going to happen.

I can post a picture of a piece of clay before shaping in 1/8 scale if you really think it will help.

Goals.

'Tight fitting' body.Form follows function.

The body will fit the frame in drawing.

For a long time we were resisting 'tapered' frame.Wanted to keep it straight so it would build on the square.

A tapered body and frame let you keep one theme style from front to back.

No rounded nose and hood with squared off body and rear deck.

So that leaves you with 'what style'?
