JerseeJerry55 Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 I know there's a couple of new releases coming out. So my question is which one to buy? The AMT A-64B Tractor, or the MPC Mack DM-800 tractor. I had both back in the late 1970's and cant remember which was easier to assemble. Could use suggestions, experiences. Thank you. JJ55
Fat Brian Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 The Autocar has a lower parts count but might not fit as well right off the tree as the Mack kit. The Mack has all the emblems and lettering molded as separate pieces so there will be some fiddliness in the final assembly.
JerseeJerry55 Posted June 5, 2018 Author Posted June 5, 2018 Brian thanks. I liked both as a teen when I was building them. Major concern I've read about the DM series models was cab alignment. Also concerned about the movable front axle (if I can attempt to not screw it up), and the rear trunnion fit. JJ55
