JayVee Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 This is a project that was finished a couple of years ago. Some guys wanted to see more photos of how the truck was made so I figured I'd start this thread. This is basically a kitbash of the WagonRod kit with the '57 Chevy pickup truck kit. Parts of the WagonRod interior, chassis, and drivetrain were used to modernize the truck. The wheels are made by Aoshima, and the paint is Tamiya clear orange over gold. The bed floor is made from basswood, and the bed runners are styrene strips painted with Alclad chrome.
Mad Slammer Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Man! Is that a cool truck or what! ! ! Great job Jay
george 53 Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Beautiful build! I'm sure it wasn't as easy as it looks to fit all those peices together like that. Came out great! BTW, what is the little circular thingie between the rear wheelhouses? Just curious.
mikelo Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Still love this truck. Looks great! Yes that is a "punkin cover". Thanks for posting it again. Mike
