Gt fan Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 (edited) This is the first Nascar car kit that I've built in 20+ years. The car started as a $5.00 batman snap together kit. The decals came from Mikes decals and some help from Mike to find a second set. I can't give him enough thanks. All the decals are by Powerslide. The interior has been detailed a bit. Scale Motorsports belts and there wiring. The wheels I cut out the wheel back so the brakes can be seen though the rims. This was done as a break from my MFH build. The wheels and spoiler have been added. The spoiler has been covered with Tamiya extra fine carbon. Some of the best carbon fiber decals out there now. I mounted the wheels by creating new mounting points with pins and plastic tube. Just a few more details and it is done. Edited September 4, 2018 by Gt fan Added photos
jchrisf Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Looking really nice... what did you use for the duct hoses in the back window?
MarkJ Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Looking Awesome. Cant wait to see the finished model. I have a left over chevy snapper from that year, but the driver I was going to do, is no longer a driver I have any respect for, so I don't know what I'm going to use it for now.

They are the kit hoses with aluminum foil wrapped around them. Just the basic kitchen kind. I just cut a strip about a half inch wide and rolled it around it working it into the detail. The nice thing is you just pull it off if you don't like the way it goes on.
