espo Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Again, glad your back on this build. I like the Nassau Blue and White color combo, my father had a '56 210 sedan with that same color combo. What wheels and tires are you going with ?
ismaelg Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 Hello, Masked the door panels and painted the body color trim along with the dash and firewall. I thought I was done with body color but I just realized I need to paint the rear wheel skirts. Interior will be white and a darker shade of blue. Thanks,
ismaelg Posted December 13, 2018 Author Posted December 13, 2018 Hello, Both door/interior panels done. BMF the chrome trim, 2 tone dark blue/white interior, silver cranks. Thanks,
ismaelg Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 Hello, Evidently I did not finish this as a Christmas present. However, we also celebrate 3 Wise Men day (3 Kings) January 6th where presents are exchanged just like Christmas. I'm hoping to be able to deliver it on that day. If not, my father's birthday is in March, Father's day is June... Interior, engine and chassis done and all mated together: Body painted and polished. Lost count of how many hours working what seems like an acre of metal foil. No major drama but very time consuming. Results are... well... acceptable but definitely not my best as I'm rushing to finish it. Windshield in place Still a long way to go. Still pending rear window, some trim items, wheels, tires, headlights, tail lights, bumpers etc. It's a shame the kit is not very good. The car is growing on me and I love the color, even if it is not factory correct. Thanks,
Rusty92 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 It's a decent kit with a bit of work, and yours is turning out very well. I have 2. One is 95% done but I smeared the the chrome pen and haven't touched it since. The other is still in the box. GREAT work!!!
espo Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Very clean foil work. I like how the interior looks.
ismaelg Posted January 4, 2019 Author Posted January 4, 2019 This project is finished and posted in the Under Glass section.
