Have to set the Zakspeed Capri aside until I get more decals. SO, I am starting this kit. I fly often for business so I cut and clean all the parts while I fly. Just keyed the body, washed, and ready for primer

So I sprayed the primer tonight, but I ended up getting “clumping” of the primer on the surface. Left me with a lot of sanding to do. I am using Tamiya fine primer, decanted and sprayed with an air brush

Primer was sanded down. 2000, 3000 and finished with 6000. Hit it with paint today. 3 coats on all the pieces requiring body color (which are quite a few!) this is my first kit requiring muiltiple separate peices painted with the body color. Took an hour and a half or spraying. Next I will sand down any inclusions I see, and move on to clear coat.

Paint is Lotus Racing Green by Gravity.

Updates! Coming together wonderfully. Paint job cake out superb! I discovered the zero 2k cures so hard, a dremel and cotton bit was just about the only practical way to polish out sanding scratches. Rubbing by hand didn’t go anywhere...
