AMT 1957 chevy in progres pics

hi everybody here is some in progress pics of my Chevy. it is the latest release of the somewhat new tool bel air from AMT. I am surprised by the level of detail this kit has. It includes spark plug wires and a firing order diagram it also has some bare metal foil and a full sheet of photo etch witch has the aluminum side panel inserts and all of the badges the one thing I don't like isthat it has plastic inserts for the white wall tires

Sounds like a re-pop of the old kit that had yellow box art. Did the P/E include a grille?

Asyou can see in the last pic it dose have a grill

Engine looks good!  Watch out for the frame, it is tricky and tends to be warped.

my frame looks good all I had to do was remove some mold seams and a pretty large ejector pin mark from the front.

When you get to the trunk area you will notice some of the mounting pegs from the frame come thru into the trunk. These can be shortened and a little filler on the trunk floor will solve the problem.
