AMT/MPC 1929 Model A Woody Faux-vivor

I'm going for a mid 60s vibe. Will use the blown small block and headers from the MPC 60 Corvette. Vintage MPC drag slicks and front tires on Halibrand mags.

The survivor on the bottom is both the inspiration and close to the color I have in mind. Stay tuned...

Funny how plans get derailed sometimes. Couldn't find a good match for the purple, then, recalling a 1966 Hot Rod Magazine cover, I decided on Hugger Orange lacquer by Testors. Because I prefer the AMT Roadster fenders I had to do a little trimming, but I think the results are worth it. Front axle is from the AMT Boyd Coddington Deuce coupe. The Cragars on the front are temporary. I still plan on using the Fenton mags from the MPC 65-67 Corvette kits up front.
