My brother just picked this one up

56 Caddy hardtop rust free western car, 64000 miles, still wearing its original Mountain Laurel (pink paint) power windows, power antenna, auto high beam all work well.

Very Nice! And it's in a bodystyle once very popular on American roads.............a genuine pillarless four door hardtop. B)  That was a one year deal interestingly enough as the '57 is a COMPLETELY different car.

Cadillac hasn't made a four door hardtop since '76 sadly enough.

Looks to be in amazing condition considering it's age. I worked with a guy around 1963 who had the same model and color as your brother's car. I could never figure out why a young guy would want such a car at that time as everyone else was getting new or late model big engine cars of the day. I rode with him a couple of times and found out it had the El Dorado 3x2's engine. That big then 7 year old car would really surprise a lot of other drivers.

I like this one told him he should keep it but I’m sure it will be gone in a week or two

He sounds like an Uncle of mine (Mom's brother)!

I swear there were years he would have three or four cars pass through his hands within a year! Oddball stuff you don't see anymore as this was back in the '60's and '70's.

When Danbury Mint was making cars, this is one I wish they would have done. They did the '56 Buick Roadmaster four door which was basically the same platform as this Caddy, but it would never happen. Who knows, this could have been on the drawing board before the Chinese government stepped in and shuttered the factory. :(
