lordairgtar Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-pebble...legance/976946/ Is this a stock color for this car? If it is, my Cord kit is coming out of the model closet.
Scalefinishes Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I would say that it's painted Palm Beach Tan In 1936 cord only offered the following colors: Cadet Grey Polychromatic IM-1671 Powder Blue IM-1669 Cigarette Cream IM-1664 Redwood Beige IM-1673 Cool Orchard Green IM-1670 Rich Maroon IM-1666 Ganges Green IM-1672 Thrush Brown Dark IM-1668 Palm Beach Tan IM-1665 Thrush Brown Light IM-1667 I know for a fact that Cigarette cream is little more yellow than that car. Jameston Exactly what are you looking at? That car is definitely a green of some kind, not tan or yellow. Thanks for the color list, now I can research those.

Gregg, I would think that it should be because of the type of show that it's in. I'd think they'd only want the best of the best.......and authenticity would be paramount. I agree that is a beautiful color! I've never seen one painted that hue before!
Eshaver Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Bill, there was a fellow that lived here in the area here that had such a Cord Beverly painted that color. He told me then it was correct and that it wasn't a common color too. Ive seen black and maroon more often. I would also contact the Auburn , Cord , Dusenburg Meseum in Indiania as to weither you could do your Cord in that color . Ed Shaver
Guest zebm1 Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Here is MCW's web page, they do the 1937 Cord paints....but I'm afraid you might have to spend $12.95 for their reference guide Gregg..... Scroll down..... http://ourworld-top.cs.com/mcwautofinishes/paint/misc.html
