evilone Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Well we haven't SEEN any Caddy yet, real or imagined. All we've got so far is a lot of talk and a silly name. you know how it is first you have to get the hype up then you have to bust out with something that is a friggin killer
kjadud0667 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Can this be joined after the inital startup? I'd really like to get in this build, plus, it'll allow me to be somewhat creative again. there shouldnt be a problem with u joining just send Diymirage a message asking him to add ur name to the list and tell him what u are using for the build

JAFFA Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 (edited) Well we haven't SEEN any Caddy yet, real or imagined. All we've got so far is a lot of talk and a silly name. I could'nt even think of anything to build up with on that! Now speaking of Silly names, heres the first pic of the "truckasaurus Flex", or as i think i'll go for; the "Velocy Tractor": Showing the Top-chop, the in-truck-cannon, my dual buckshot cannon and the 12-guage gatlin, to be mounted in the little turret (silver), wonder if they had that in mind at the Ford design-board in 1940? Oh, and offcourse the Mopar Hemi powerplant, only waiting for a 4wd transmission and a blower, danger that's prooven to be hard to come by all of the suddenly, i was outbid on the Wynns jammer, i had allready told Scaledreams i could'nt make the deal, my supplyer couldn't get me any of the AMT monstertruck-kits (and i was really relying on one of those for A LOT of parts....) What you won't see in the pic is the 6-feet framechop (thus removing one of the rear-axles). Edited September 6, 2008 by JAFFA
Clay Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 I need to charge my camera battery. I got alot of work done. I got alot of the armor done, a front bumper, and most of the suspension. I also got the gattlin gun almost done.
Clay Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Ok here are my pics. Very crude build but hey its my first timeworking with Styrene sheets. More to come later. I need an exo cage and to do the engine and interior. Pretty sure I need more weapons by looking at what you guys have.
diymirage Posted September 7, 2008 Author Posted September 7, 2008 those rides are all coming along quite well all i managed today was do some detail painting on the body and slap some decalls on i am this close to permanently mounting the body also guys, welcome mr. mike to the hussle
evilone Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 okay. I have no name for this one yet, but here's my inital entry: this is a really poorly built AMG 600 that i got in Toledo a few years ago, i think for less than $2. I got it for the engine, which was even more fubared than the exterior. progress has already been made: pic of parts so far for armorment... Suspension has been re-sorted & fixed and an initial coat of primer has been added. Work to do: Exo-skeleton (seems to be a pre-requeset here) Guns (ditto) I have a few other tricks up my sleeve too, As instead of being an all out agressive machine, my car is more like a a stealthy / get-away stay away type machine. think Mad Max meets James Bond. pm sent bro
diymirage Posted September 7, 2008 Author Posted September 7, 2008 (edited) think Mad Max meets James Bond. i was wondering why the licence plates were upside down oh yeah, welcome to page 14 Edited September 7, 2008 by diymirage
diymirage Posted September 7, 2008 Author Posted September 7, 2008 That wasn't me, that was the previous builder, completely ignoring the decal placement instructions. actually, nearly every part on this car was upside down /left-right switched. especially the engine. did I mention that it was assembled using at least 3 tubes of glue? im starting to think maybe you would have been better of building a NISB kit

evilone Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 That's what you think. & trust me, you need to pass this one up & find a NISB one. never i can make something sick out of it after all I USE THE FORCE

Hmm... how do the barrel-assembly rotate when the barells are individually fixed through holes? Looking good anyway!, and that goes for all of ya in here,l now lets see more pics!

Clay Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Come on guys give me a break, its my first time scratch building.
JAFFA Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Come on guys give me a break, its my first time scratch building. Hey, it looks great, and for that matter the gun might as well have one firing mechanism for each barrel, or the whole thing revolves around the barrel assembly. The purpose of multiple barrels remain the same, now make sure it feeds ammo from somewhere . I've got one of theese print-sets at home, they're pretty descent, maybe it'll help ya! http://www.gatlingguns.net/
jarheadndn Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 good and bad news from the garage. the big truck/tank, is waiting for parts, as the trade enbargo is makin it real hard to scavange the needed diesel engine. put me on a 2 week wait list. go news is in the scrape yard, i got a 65 mustang, 86 monte, and a 57 300c. just aint sure witch one is closer to the shop, or running good. but will be out in the mornin to choose the victum. sorry bout the silly story, but the big truck is a project i want to do alot of really long term projects, so i got to get another one. ill try and get some pics up soon of the new "blood" and some progress pics asap!!
kasteer Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Hey all. Just caught up on the thread. Thanks for all the kind "killer" words on my ride. All the cars I've seen so far look killer! This is going great! Accepted a new job with AT&T so I've been busy getting the house ready to sell (have to relocate) and will be starting the new job soon. My build may see a major slow down soon as I make the transition. Anyway, here's the progress so far on my DEATH WAGON. Gotta work on the rear bumper and add some more battle damage (like bullet holes), then she'll be ready for some primer.

kasteer Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Shocks? Nah.... I'm going with no shocks and no springs. It's all just welded solid.... LOL... I agree she's a heavy beast and requires HD Shocks. The turret on top rotates so I can BLAST anyone dumb enough to get next to me... I also rectified the gat gun housing with a cowling around the base of the gat gun. It'll be seen in the next posting. I also completed the rear bumper and armor. Just need to add the welding detail to it.
diymirage Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 i just took my glass out and welded most of the armour in from the inside no reason not to look as killer as it will act
