Jantrix Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hey guys could we perhaps do a little creative editing when we quote folks we want to reply to? Just delete the photo URLS in the quote so that we don't have to swim though tons of duplicate photos. Or just leave one pic if you want to remark about a particular feature of the build. In any case, after a stop at the Evergreen/Plastruct/Aluminum tubing display at my LHS, I've done quite a bit of work on the Spartan. The exo-cage is just about complete. The weapons mount is just about ready. The mount and the car will have to be primed seperately to make sure everything gets covered completely as I'm using lacquers. When I add up the actual weight of all this steel in my head, if this were 1:1, I realize how far behind I'm leaving reality. But what the hell, this is set in some screwed up future anyway right. The only thing I have overlooked is that I should have distressed the body before I built the exo-cage. It will be more difficult to do now, but I'll get by. I'll get some pics up when it's ready for primer.
RodneyBad Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 So my back story. This is Max, Ex-cop put in jail for a crime he didn't do. He's gonna be spending the race tracking down the real offenders to set it straight. So pulling his old squad car from storage and the help of his friend, a former Navy SeaBee/Weapons expert, They are building the Enforcer.. Meet the ENFORCER I'm a slow builder but what the heck. Reworked my Mini Gun. Looks much better. Added a Rocket Launcher to the roof (not done tho) Armoured up a bit. Bolted in the front window. Spiked the front spoiler.
evilone Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 well my fellow men the day of reconing is at hand the caddy has emerged out of the pond with a bad attitude and its hungry for BLOOD so say your prayers and take your vitamins brother cus whatcha goinna do whaen the deathscalade runs wild all over you
evilone Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I dug through alot of my old stuff & found a bunch of "Weaponry" for the AMG. I think I'm going a bit hi-tech with my build. alot of "tech" style weapons will be on this car. Laser guided missles, heat seekers, motion sensored, droppable proximity mines. there will be a few lo-tech weapons also, just in case the "Tech" fails. this is the Autonomous Laser Sighting And Interactive Display System (ALSAIDS): Contains a Camera & Laser spotter for Guided missle interaction. I's always good to keep an Eye on the Competition. AMG got some color today, courtesy of Tamiya : Here's the Business end of Said AMG: That's it for now. My Client want's to keep the rest of the specs on this build top secret. high teck now herm time to get midevil with this build im sure that the rapper that will be driving this thing will love to distroy that car oh its on its on like donkey kong
Jantrix Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Update shots on the Spartan. Exo-cage is finally done, first primer. The weapons platform is simple and part of the exo-cage. The idea was to make a cage that looks like it is attached and basicly an extension of the body/chassis of the car. Weapons will be started next. Enjoy. More shots here. http://s53.photobucket.com/albums/g73/Jant...athrace%20300C/
gary westervelt Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 That cage looks great on there Rob.Nice job.
diymirage Posted September 13, 2008 Author Posted September 13, 2008 That cage looks great on there Rob.Nice job. i agree, i really like the way the shutters are welded on looks like who ever welded them could actually weld very authentic
Jantrix Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 i agree, i really like the way the shutters are welded on looks like who ever welded them could actually weld very authentic Thanks guys the welded seams (doors/trunk/shutter) were done by taking a very thin piece of solder pounded flat, glued in place and then scored with a #11, to give it a welded metal appearance, very simple to do. Have begun the weapons, which my kids are really digging. It will consist of one surplus M2 .50 caliber machine gun and 8 LAW anti-tank rockets. And a few other surprises.

Jantrix Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Nothing new on the Spartan, been working on other things. I have 4 CBP builds going at once. I'm such an ultra-maroon.
RadRidesByDan Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 As interesting as it was at the begining....all of these rides have caught my interest far more than I ever would of thought. Everything that I have seen so far blows my mind away in the creativity and construction of the builds. WOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOO
