ericmaxman Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Hi guys. I got this kit cheap from my LHS. Unfortunately however, the kit is not in perfect condition. The A-pillars are a little bend in while the B-pillars stick out. :banghead: :banghead: Looks like I have to find some ways to correct it. I worry that I break it, I can't find a replacement, as the car is rare, right? Anyway, here are the pictures. The manual. The decals. No.7 is broken, so I won't use that. The usual stuff, parts on sprues. The parts that are not on the sprue. Body. Kinda shiny, eh? Problem with bargain kits are these. Darn, a crack.
Nick F40 Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Well, had to click on it after seeing the title. Love Subarus and maybe plan on getting a real one like this. There is a 91 Liberty RS Turbo, Australian's version of the Legacy, in the latest SubieSport and it has an EJ22T. I love the look, it is so clean but it is exactly like this! I would love to get something like this and put an EJ20TT, twin sequential turbo, in one, heck maybe i'll make my STI twin sequential turbo, who knows, anywho.... sorry your painting it blue right?

I was toying with the idea of doing it black. Blue will be reserved for my R34.
ericmaxman Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 It is mid September now, and I have started to do my WIP, after 2 months of waiting. haha. Anyway, I have done the chassis. Here are the pictures.
ericmaxman Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 Some update. Body done with flat black.
ericmaxman Posted September 25, 2008 Author Posted September 25, 2008 the stock rims would look awesome with the flat black body if you did them in a semi-flat black with a red lip. you can get nice paint pens in Micheals craft store to do the red lip, nice to be able to draw them on instead of brush painting. that is a cool kit with alot of potential! Dave Not too late ! What do you mean by semi flat black?
Joe Handley Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Looks good sofar, you going to tint the windows too?
ericmaxman Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 (edited) Nope. I don't have a tinting film that is that big. And to be honest, I really don't know whether should I do the decals for the silver linings going round the body. Edited September 28, 2008 by ericmaxman
Joe Handley Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 I'd leave them off, looks better like it is!
ericmaxman Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 Okay. No problem then. Its completed.
