Jantrix Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 The last time I built this kit I found fitting the front inner fender wells a royal pain in the posterior. They don't fit the firewall well, nor the radiator all that well. So. What order of assembly has worked well for those that have done this kit successfully? Glue to firewall before or after the interior is glued to chassis? After the chassis and interior are in the body? Any help would be appreciated.
Jantrix Posted January 2, 2019 Author Posted January 2, 2019 LOL. That's what I thought. No one else has done it successfully either.
Dave G. Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 I've never built an AMT kit that wouldn't fit together and while it's been a long time since I built one I have built many. As to the 51 Chevy, that I have not built and probably never will, since a 51 Chevy doesn't particularly interest me. I would be curious to hear from some folks who have done one successfully though. I looked up some videos on what looked like nice builds of that model and didn't hear anyone complaining about fit.
