Safire6 Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 I posted this in a different section but didn't get any response so I thought maybe it would see more traffic here.......Does anyone know if anybody is making (or can make) the Firebird TA wheels as shown in this pic in 1/16 scale? Also I'd like to know if anyone is making the silver rocker panel "skirts" and front valence as shown in the pic. Thanks in advance!
Young iron Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 No, they even don't exist in 1/24. The 1984 Trans-Am has specific grilles and rims. You can find the skirts in Revell 1/16 GTAs, but you have to mix the front one with the 1982 nose. And scratchbuild the grills.

Safire6 Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 Thanks for your replies Benjamin and Casey. Looks like I'll be sticking with the stock wheels and body that came in the 1/16 MPC kit.
Safire6 Posted March 19, 2019 Author Posted March 19, 2019 So instead of using the stock wheels that came with the '82 Trans AM MPC kit, I had Rico model the '84 wheels and Shapeways printed them. Here they are unpainted. I'll post pics much later of the painted wheels once I finish up on the other projects I'm working on. I'm pleased with the details on these wheels.
