Lownslow Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 windex before touching a model, i had good results in keeping the body oil free and the glass streak free
Lownslow Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 how bout gloves??? only when i spray i hate wearing gloves
Aaronw Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I like to eat Doritos or Cheetoes immediately before handling models.
Olle F Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I like to eat Doritos or Cheetoes immediately before handling models. Thanks, I needed a good laugh today!
lordairgtar Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I dunk my hands in acetone. That pretty much dries out any oils in my skin. Plus, as an added benefit, it will let you where the cuts are on your hands.
RodBurNeR Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 a dip in lake castrol dries up any unwanted oils..... but seriously, i wash my hands.....but i don't usually pick my models up by the body. i tend to only hold the roof edges where i foiled.
bobss396 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I like to paint with a shedding Angora cat on my shoulder too. I'm a big believer in washing my hands often when I'm into final assembly or paint work. I guess Windex would work fine too. Bob
JAFFA Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 only when i spray i hate wearing gloves I like to eat Doritos or Cheetoes immediately before handling models. x2

Acetone goes straight through the skin and into your bloodstream!
FactoryStock54 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I wash my hands with Palmolive dish detergent; gets rid of the grease and is a lot better for one's skin than Windex, especially in the colder, dryer months.
