ismaelg Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Hello, Tired of my promos already? Don't worry, this is the last one for now. I scored this one on eBay and it was delivered this morning. Monte Carlo Pace Car from the Inaugural Brickyard 400: August 6, 1994. Another Brookfield promo. Click here to see my promos album Thanks,
crispy Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 That Brookfield stuff has always been great. They really had some nice stuff out. It's a shame Action bought them. Your collection is growing quickly Ismael! Chris
gasman Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Nice score Izzy. I got a stock one a few years ago thats in "played" in shape. looks like the previous owner used it as a toy. its in my "to be restored" box. i'll get to it some day. sad to say that none of that Brookfield stuff will ever be reissued. a warehouse which stored all there tools burned down about 10 years ago.

lizardlust Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Nice catch, Ismael - the one that I have was my first Brookfield and the finish quality and detailing really impressed me!!
Dragon7665 Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Clean Score Ismael I remember getting one of the Factory Mistakes with the Black interior when they first came out, and then later picking up one with the Tan interior like yours..... Both of which are packed away in my stash, and I hope to be able to pull either out to detail it (Add an engine and Trans as well)....
george 53 Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Izz, If you wanna try to do a whole rebuild of your Monte, You'll need 2 late model Camaro kits to lengthen the wheelbase, and cut (VERY carefully) the engine compartment details out of.Hot Rod or Car Craft did this a while back with a real one and that's how they did it. It works too! Stupid me, I used a "Dale Earnhardt" promo to this Before he Passed away, so you can see how long ago it was done. But it did come out pretty cool. Too bad Chevy couldn't have the same forthought!
