chris731 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 (edited) I built this for my brother, he wanted it the drag version. It's box stock except decals. Starting to build again after taking the summer off. Edited September 22, 2008 by chris731
chris731 Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Thanks, I hope he's happy with it when he sees it.
lizardlust Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 TOO COOL - looks like one of the box art pics you always TRIED to duplicate as a kid but always fell short of!!!
RodBurNeR Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 nice build, i like the paint job! neat idea using the Revell '68 Firebird decals.
chris731 Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Thanks everyone, the re-issue didn't come wih any decals sort of speak, and the sheet out of the Firebird kit fit the build perfect. The stripes across the hood are out of the MPC Charger 500 kit.
Robert81 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 That is a beauty, the decals are great. I really need to get off my @$$ and finish my 56 Drag Queen.
RodneyBad Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Looks like the Thumper II is hand painted. Very nostalgic. Looks Great.
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Nice job, really like the color combo...
Harold Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Great work. It looks almost like the box art illustration on the early '70's issue.
Daniel Lynch Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Very nice looking Vicky! Great job! Welcome back to your shop! Daniel
RadRidesByDan Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 That build is 50's era perfect. very nice detailing and paint.
John Goschke Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Cool build! Decals are perfect for the car!
