rv1963 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I just finished this one to night. I was trying for a simple clean build with a few extra details most of which are in the interior, steering wheel and dash insert are scratch built as well as the console, shifter, steering column and mount. Any and all comments welcome.
randx0 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 great job I really like it .where'd the wheels come from?I think you accomplished your goal on this one .
RodneyBad Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Thats a simple build? Dang nice. Nice wood grain, Great interior. Motor detail is Excellent. Great Detail thru out. A Most Excellent Job!!
rv1963 Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 Thanks guys, not shore about the wheels because they sat in the kit box for about 5 years before i really worked on it. The wood grain on the wheel and dash insert are real wood the console was hand painted.
george 53 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 WoW!,Now THATS a HOT ROD! Just like I remember as a kid. 32 Roadster, Big engine Great paint! Yep, It's a real hot rod in my book! I luvs it!
John Goschke Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 That is terrific! Love the wood grain details and the engine choice; really sets this one apart!
Daniel Lynch Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Good looking rod1 Very nice clean job! Daniel
rv1963 Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 Thanks, i used the kit grill, and you are close on the fire wall it's a piece of thin tin or metal polished with several fine grades of sand paper.
rv1963 Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 (edited) Thanks and i am no offended at all my models are never perfect if they were how could i improve them. I will have to use the one installed as it's glued in and can't be removed, it's a good idea that should take a bout 10 minutes to do. Edited September 24, 2008 by rv1963

rv1963 Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 Thanks Outlaw for the kind words, I got the engine out of the Polar Lights Holman & Moody kit the supercharger and scoop from the recent Revell 1968 Firebird kit.
RadRidesByDan Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 That is one of those cars that you would see in one of those " I can't drive 55" Ads. Mean looking rod
rv1963 Posted September 25, 2008 Author Posted September 25, 2008 Thanks, it would be fast in real life a 2,500 pound car with about 650 horse power that's a speeding ticket waiting to happen.
James Flowers Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Nice to see a Ford motor in one of these. Very well done.
Dave Wood Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Looks Great!! Love the Wood Dash & Wheel and oh yeah the FORD MILL!
Randy Kern Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 A nice clean machine, there! That big motor looks good in it, too. Your wood treatment really came out nice, even the shift knob. A p.e. grille is definitely the way to go with these '32s, and Rep & Min Co of Md has the opened resin shell to make it easier. I seem to recall those wheels & tires came in an aftermarket set with four or five other styles of wheels, back in the '90s. Nice build!
rv1963 Posted September 26, 2008 Author Posted September 26, 2008 Thanks a lot everybody for all the positive comments, and yes i agree that the grill needs work i am going to give it a black wash that will help a little.
