Junkman
Of course I start with Milner's Deuce. I have the Ertl issue. Motormax also made one.
Junkman
Next up is the one nobody ever thinks of - Toad's Vespa. Maisto makes it.
randyc
I have 2 of the 32 coupe - one is signed by Paul Le Mat. Back when these originally came out, he was making his living signing them at events, I think. I didn't get the autograph, but owned a hobby shop and traded for it. I've had people claim it's bogus because I don't have a photo of him signing it. Like that's not easy to forge either? But I don't care, the sig matches others I've seen and I love the movie. So I like to think Paul at least touched it at some point. LOL. Also have the other three - the '58. the '55, and the Mercury. Probably will stay with me for a long time. If I ever put the cars in clear cases, the Vespa would be excellent to have in the case with the 58 I think. Now if we just had the Edsel... Junkman
Steve Bolander's Impala I had to build from a kit, though. This may be authentic for the film car, but I don't like it. So I changed it. Ertl did account for the jacked up rear end, but the model is sitting too high up at the front for my taste. The model also has the stock dual exhaust with the downward tailpipes, whereas the film car had straight ones. I fixed this with aluminium tubing. And I lowered the front. Yes, according to Toad the engine should be a 327. The film car also didn't have door mirrors, but in order to change that, the doors require to be repainted. Junkman
Bob Falfa's '55 Chevy hitherto eluded me, the same with Curt's 2CV, for which an old Solido model could stand in.
randyc
The Falfa car was common as rice over here when it came out. My shop was only place in town for the other three that came out first, then the 55 came out and WalMart had them, so I could barely sell mine. You'll find one someday. Junkman
I sure hope so. Prices went a bit mad for these.
