Spike Posted January 13, 2009 Author Posted January 13, 2009 got this in the mail today, 46 dodge tow truck. yes its a die cast, but after some of these projects itll get tore down and painted/detailed
Spike Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 got the a-pillers lined up got a lot of work to do on the roof now startin to look like a car now
stump Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Niiiiiiiiiiice.... The metallic in the Jeeps paint is just gorgeous.. The old truck will be a nice project too.....koolness factor 10+.. And the Challenger is shaping up nicely as well Spike, you have been busy...well done man.
Rudy Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 +1 the paint came out awesome on the jeep. Testor's 1-coat metallic lacquer I am guessing? That power Wagon tow truck is kick a$$. I can see it O.D. Green with a military jeep being toweed behind it. Anytbody know where to get a model of any power wagons? My grandpa had a 58 power wagon town wagon, (just like a chevy suburban) would be neat to find one of those an build it like his. My dad says it was a command-car used in the military. Was brush and roller painted national blue with bright red wheels and a giant winch on the front! Sorry to hijack, your builds keep me motivated and make me want to chop-cut-rebuild, box-stock is just not gonna cut it after reading your posts!! Rudy
Spike Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 thanks guys. the jeep is actually dupli-color metalcast red over dupli-color metalspecks blue with two coats of folkart hi-shine glaze. the 46 dodge will be painted gloss red with gloss black fenders/running boards to resemble one i saw at a dodge delership in monroe WI.
Spike Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 added frame connectors on the challenger also added the lift blocks in the rear to get the stance my dads goin for and decided to go with the squad rims
Spike Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 anyone got a complete 340 from the AMT 71 duster?
RodneyBad Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 added frame connectors on the challenger also added the lift blocks in the rear to get the stance my dads goin for and decided to go with the squad rims Dang, color me Impressed. That challenger is looking dang good and the Frame connectors look right. Now if someone could resin cast your cop wheels, they look good and I'd put them on all my Mopars.

DR Dubois Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Spike that Challenger is looking great. Nice work making it all fit. Is that Jeep Cherokee a kit? A buddy of mine owns one with the V-8 and it kicks butt for a 4x4. Would love to build a replica for him.

Spike Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 small update on the chally got a tuff wheel (on the left) rather then the SE style wheel (on the right) got some rollin stock, gotta dig out one more tire added fog lights to the front bumper painted the boot and handel on the pistol grip shifter

Is it pretty thick? The roof on the Challenger is looks awesome.. That is a lot of work to go through. AMT should look into that one. Great Work. can't wait to see the new addition to your list I'm thinking Black..
