Geno Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 (edited) Nothing spectacular but one I wanted to add to my movie car collection but it's pretty sparse out of the box. Plus the '70 is my favorite year Roadrunner.[:)] The front had to be remedied, I couldn't deal with those funky headlights. I scratch built the headlight buckets and used headlight lenses from my parts stash. Plus I had to do the detail painting around the grille and paint the bumper guards and add parking light lenses. Next was that awful interior with no detail other than a chrome shifter and steering wheel. Who woulda thunk a JADA interior could be made to look decent lol? I was pleasantly surprised. Next and probably worse is those nasty tray engines. I tried to make it look fairly decent but it's like trying to put lipstick on a pig lol. Next was the bare plastic trunk. I carpeted it and added a spare, not much but an improvement. Finishing off with the BMF trim, Roadrunner and Hemi badging and an antenna. Edited February 2, 2020 by Geno
kilrathy10 Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 (edited) I saw this thing at Walmart, just today.... I was about to pull the trigger on it, but I had to exercise a little discipline.... Seeing yours, just wrecked any hope of me not acquiring it, now... Guess I'll have to head on back and pick it up, now... You twisted my arm....? Edited February 2, 2020 by kilrathy10

Snake45 Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 You did what you could with it, and ya done good, but those wheels/tires would have been a deal-killer for me. Any idea what scale it is? I think I've seen these at Walmart and they looked a little big. I have another '70 GTX by somebody (Maisto?) that's stock and, even more important, 1/25. Looks just like a Monogram 1/24 shrunk a little, which is to say it doesn't look nearly as good as an original JoHan. I just checked my hard drive and I don't seem to have ever taken any pictures of it.

They done pretty decent on this one considering most of their models are more caricatures of cars than anything else. I'm not a big fan of the oversize wheels and tires, it seems like most of the F&F cars have them so I'll leave them as is. ? Edited February 2, 2020 by Geno
