In about every forum of racing,  the driveshaft has to be painted white. (check the rule books),  it started in the being when for some reason a driveshaft would come out, you cann;t see the black thing till you hit it,, That's way to they are always painted WHITE

         happy racing

Please this is not to start trouble..   just go to the rule books, and it will tell you,  ( like arca pg S 63 driveshafts must be manetic and must be painted white,)  now its up to them, no me.   Thanks

I believe you Doc larry 100%,   just going by what the rule books say,   and you know there is room for,, oops I didn't see that,   when I used to race, it was only cheating, if they catch it.

Seems I recall a driveshaft going through Earnhardt's windshield! I think at Pocono, I think it hit him in the face but he finished the race!

I'm not sure when NASCAR made it mandatory, but I'm pretty sure it was the seventies, Here's Richard Petty's 1970 flip at Darlington. If you slow down the speed to .25. the driveshaft is dark after he bounces off the wall on to the roof of his Road Runner

aint a crime to do it....it's a crime if you get caught!  we never took the time to paint ours shite, although the rules did say that.....just thought it was a waste of paint!!
