a lot of the 1:1 lowrider builders will put either these artilleries or wire wheels... i don't wanna put wires on all my builds...

WOW!!! What paint did You use on your '49?

While those caps look beautiful on your cool sled, they aren't actually Fiesta caps, those are the custom caps from the 1958 AMT/SMP kits or the old '59-'60 Johan kits. The main difference is that those don't have the three Saturns in them. The real Fiesta caps were in the 1959 Ford rectractable (Skip's Fiesta series) and if my memory serves me right, in the recently reissued Revell/Monogram '58 Thunderbird. The whitewall tires in the '59 Ford and '58 T-bird look too tall to me on a 1/25 scale kit and You have to find suitable replacements that look good on your car.

thanks! the paint is Oriental Kandy Blue by Black Gold over Silver Metallic

the car is further along now, polished and foiled.

the caps on my car are Oldsmobile.

Yes those are the old Jo-han hubcaps repopped by the Modelhaus. I've got them as well, while those look good, they are actually copies of some cheapo aftermarket hubcaps from the 50's. The '56 Olds Fiesta caps became a very popular hubcap with the customisers in the 50's, but are slightly different. I am trying to add a link to show You the real Fiestas.

I found these on the bay.

These are the earlier Olds spinner caps, found on Revells '53-'56(?) Ford pick up with the red flame decals. These also look good in my opinion.

"I know what you mean by some tires, but the ones on my Ford are Modelhaus T170. I really dig them!" Yeah those look great!!!

Now, tell me more about this gorgeous Adventurer. I see You deleted the side moldings. What else did You do? The paint looks awesome. Got anymore pics of it? The top looks like it's been foiled, but it's got to be flake. Or is it? The paint?

The Ford ones are huge.

I'm working with DougH on getting some Artilleries made up to cast in resin. I modified these so the rim is separate for chroming, I forget what diecast they off of, Art Anderson pointed me toward them. DougH hasn't been on LIL for a minute though

yes they are, I was looking forever trying to figure out what I could modify to make a good wheel and Art knew right away (as usual) what I needed. What DougH got me is going to look sweet too!
