Bill, I compared it to the Olds four door roof and the shape and size are the same. I couldn't find my '59 Le Sabre two door to do the comparison between them, but I am quite positive Tom used the same roof section. All one needs to do is craft in the 2 dr door tops and quarter window frames with some evergreen and You are done. The hardest part is crafting the roof section to the body and doing all the bodywork. Just trim carefully and it will turn out great.

Chuck, I've got one of the Modelhaus roof sections somewhere, but the ones I bought from Tom were repops of the Johan '60 Caddy fleetwood roof sections. Turns out I remember them beeing two door roof sections, but these are four door roofs I dug out from my stash. Just got some goodies from Norm and I couldn't be happier. Excellent quality and these require almost no cleanup. Got some unbelievable wire wheels and rat rod tires and his artllery wheels to go on his Deuce cabriolet. I also got some single bar hubcaps for the soon to be released '48 Coupe from Revell. His items are the best and it's always a pleasure to deal with him! Met him about ten years ago at NNL East and have been friends ever since, but I've been a loyal customer for close to 15 years by now.

Excellent work William! Those changes You made sure add a lot of realism to the model. As a '60 Impala owner I've spent countless hours under one of these. If You need any assistance let me know. One item You missed on this though is You forgot to paint the part of the frame where the rear control arm attaches to the frame. There's a dimple in Revell's chassis plate between the rear frame horns(?) just ahead of the rear axle, where the rear control arm is supposed to be glued to. There a drop dead gorgeous '60 Bel Air on ebay right now, if You should need any detailing tips. Looks like You guys are a tough crowd to please. Juha did the original master for the All American Models '70 Chrysler 300 out of a '70 Impala. He designed it in a way, that it could later be turned into the Hurst version as well. Only very few of those AAM kits were ever made. Some years later it was copied by R&R. Sure he made some changes, but it is quite obvious it was cast from the AAM kit. The parts count is not the same as it was with the AAM kit, and some parts were completely redone, who knows why - as they aren't correct for the '70 Chrysler 300. Right now I can't remember how many parts are in the R&R piece, but if my memory serves me right, it wasn't many. OK, fast forward to 2009. Juha decides to redo the '70 as a '69. Several changes take place and the kit is further refined. He finds the time to create the artwork for the photoetch and has them done in another country and makes the vacuformed glass for it as well. Now the parts count for this kit is 21 + the vacuformed windows + the photoetch, not counting those vacuformed parking and backup lights, that probably will be deleted from the kit. The builder can choose to clue the hood shut like the R&R piece or leave it open to display the engine compartment. Your choice! I know I will be flaunting my engine, when I get to it. As for a four door sedan becoming available, it's highly unlikely. Juha did the car twice, and I suspect it won't happen again. He's got other items in the works. There is a European four door sedan with fins and a flathead about to be cast next. It will be awhile before it's ready though. Can hardly wait for it myself. The price is comparable to the quality of Juha's castings. The parts look like grey plastic and there is the photoetch to sweeten the deal. In my opinion this kit rates the highly recommended rating! Juha is a friend of mine and my opinion might be biased, but ask around and You will find out more about his products. I couldn't be happier!!

WOW !!! Got mine about a week ago and I couldn't be happier!! Well maybe, if I had gotten two. The body looks and feels like plastic, and the only air bubbles I see are in the headliner. Not a biggie for me as those won't be visible, should I ever get to finish this. The kit comes with two tiny clear back up lights and two clear parking lights(?) for the grille, vacuformed front and rear windows and vacuformed back up light and parking lights(these might be dropped from the kit as he includes separate clear parts), separate bucket seats and a separate rear seat, separate door panels and the dashboard, steering wheel, front and rear bumpers, separate grill for the front bumper, four Chrysler recall mags, chassis plate and the photo etch fret with five Chrysler scripts(two sizes), two sets of T, H, R, E, E, H, U, N, D, R, E, D letters and two 3, 0, 0 numbers and the body and separate hood with molded on reinforcements. The body has the Chrysler and three hundred scripts molded on and 300 is molded on the rear bumper taillight panel. Detailed firewall is molded to the body. Open door handles are molded to the body as well. The builder will need to source suitable parts from a donor kit for the engine and transmission and front and rear suspension pieces plus bits and pieces for the engine compartment. Revell's 1968 Charger could donate the running gear and plated door handles and rear axle. Front suspencion pieces will need modification though, as Juha used the front half of the chassis plate from the MPC '65 Monaco(?) and the rear half of the Revell '69 Charger to create the longer wheelbase for this Chrysler. If You put the Revell chassis side by side with this, there is a difference of about 1,5 cm. All in all I am very happy with this and will definitely get me another one. Charlie, the Mirada comes with these wheels: Juha showed me how easily the interior just drops onto the AMT '71 Duster platform, as if it was meant to be that way. The chassis plate will need to be lenghtened about 5mm in the back and about 1mm will need to be added to the front suspencion parts to relocate the wheels to the center of the wheelwells. You also need to modify the torsion bars like Jeff told. The engine and trans could come from the same kit along with the tires.

Yesterday I picked these from Juha: Couldn't be any happier !!! Saw some possible future releases as well, three vintage small european cars (one with a small flathead V-8) and a huge American from the 60's that's going to please a few. I can hardly wait!!!

Guys, some of those kits now contain photo etch detail sets with them. Something You won't find elsewhere. They have a new Volvo Amazon with the etch and some of the details could be useful for Bill's P 1800. Their P 1800 ES is really sweet, and the '61-'64 Ford Taunus looks fabulous. I might have some pics of the one Juha built himself, that I took last Saturday in Stockholm Sweden. I haven't had the time to upload the pics yet. Will post pics if they are any good. The shipping prices from Finland have gotten really outrageous lately. These can be shipped cheaply too, but I lost one P 1800 ES I shipped to a friend in California. So I won't recommend using the cheap method to anyone.

The kits are 1/25 scale. I've had a couple. The P 1800 ES and Ford Cortina are fabulous, not to mention the Harry Potter Anglia. I have to get me a Saab as well. I've given away a couple to my friends in Sweden as birthday gifts,and they have all been very impressed.

Well, Thanks to You I learned about the resin grille and body!! I would still be scratching those parts myself, if You hadn't posted pics of them. Your '50 Buick/Merc/Linc hybrid looks fabulous!! I hope mine will look half as decent,when it's done. I'd love to include several ideas from Janne's drawings into this, which will delay it for a long time. If any of You guys like neat designs, please check out Janne's web page @ www.jannekutja.com . He has got quite a collection of car designs he has created over the years. I wish some of those cars could be obtained as plastic models. I'd post pics of some, but haven't learned how to add them to this site. Thanks again Tom !!!
