After I saw Matt T's solution to "correct" the chopped roof on the Revell Merc, I started thinking. I did not want to cut into the roof, to prevent any possible future problems with paint and filler shrinking over time. My solution was to scripe open the door frame from the top and carefully file away small pieces of plastic from the roof. I then cut the door window frame in two to be clued to the top later with a small slice of plastic to fill the missing piece of the window frame. This way I'll be able to use the kit supplied windshield frame. By cheating like this, the body doesn't look like the top was chopped too much in the front. I sure hope I am making myself clear here.
I hope this pic will clarify my thoughts. The door window frame is not clued in at this time yet. Tell me what You think. I'm new at posting pics on this board, so please forgive me, if I fail.

By the way here is a pic of a young me taken sometime in the 80's in Sweden. I got to ride in this customized Norwegian '49 Merc convertible. I'll never forget the mellow sound of that flathead engine purring smoothly. Man those were the days.
