Sully Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 (edited) Here's a few pics of the Revell '49 Merc. The paint is H.O.K. Tangelo Pearl shot over gloss white with Dupont clear. The purple flames are decals from the parts box. The interior is done in purple and white. I used the kit engine and added a resin dist. from Morgan Automotive Detail (Kris makes a killer cap if you have never seen them). The wire looms are scratch built. The bullets and the megaphone exhaust tips are stainless steel items that I turned up on my lathe. I also added the sunken rear plate and ant. Hope you like the pics............ Haf'ta get me one of them Mercs soon..... Hans, Thanks for the comments. I wish I could tell you where the hubcaps came from. I got these in a junk yard I won on e-bay. They do appear to be some sort of Caddy cap, but not sure. The center bullet is something I turned up on my lathe...... Sully

Sully I'm not 100% sure here, but those rims look like the ones from the 1979-80 Turbo Trans Am. With your machining work installed it's hard for me to say 100% on it though. Both of the Mercs are NICE!!! I'm hoping that after quite a few years of being away from the hobby I can get my skills up to even 1/10th of the skills I have seen here. Hope this helps, -Scott H. E St. Kruiser50 Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Hey Sulley I like the Merc. Love the POIPLE. Great color, stance, and everything man. Fantastic job - Dave
