58 Impala Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Anyone know of someone who makes a resin L88 hood scoop for a 1/25 C2 Corvette? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
Snake45 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 I assume you're talking about the type of bulge used on the '68-'69 Vettes, right? Because the '67 L88 scoop is the standard '67 stinger. No, I've never seen the '68-type bulge on a resin C2 hood. I've never seen one used on a real C2 Vette, either, and I've seen just about every kind of custom hood treatment you can imagine. I'm having a hard time imagining that it would look good. But if that's what you really want, you might have to make it yourself. Grab a Revell '68 or '69 Vette kit and have at it.

It was black with flared fenders, chrome side pipes and a candy blue stripe that started at the front of a 68 L88 scoop and went over the roof to the back valance. The car was beautiful, my buddies and I would always stop to stare as it drove by. I can graft a scoop, just trying to save myself the trouble.
