Guy's, What's happened? Last nite, Theresa and I went to a dollar show, then to my daughters house to eat dinner. While I was at Joy's house, I tried to get on line to see what was up, and I couldn't get onto the forum! It wouldn't let me in using my name, password, OR E-mail address. It wouldn't let me give my password. It kept tellin me I had too many characters in it. Did something change in the few hours I was gone? I NEVER log out, I just turn off my comp at nite before I go to bed, but I've NEVER logged off in all the time I've been a member. What happened? I had to call Joy an ask her if I could use her E-mail address just to re-register! If I get back in under my own name, I won't use her addy again. But the problem remains, WHAT HAPPENED? This is makin me crazy(or CRAZIER!) the last time this happened was when my comp took a dump an I was off for about a week, but all I did this time, was log in onna different comp, and the forum wouldn't recognize my name or my password. So what do I do now? I don't want to change my name or password. I just want back in as ME. I hate to keep botherin Gregg,caz this is the second time I've had to bug him about this(not bein able to log in) Does any one know whats goin on? I am STILL on the members list as myself, but the forum says it has no one by my name in it.So howcome I can see my name right on the members list, an it (the forum) tells me I don't exist! Wots up and HHHEEELLLPPP!!!!!

Well George, I see your'e member # 3100 on your new sign-in. Maybe Gregg couldn't wait for #3100 any longer, so he bumped ya forcing you to re-join.

Hmmm, when you scroll to the bottom of the main page, it says we have 3100 registered members. When you look at your post, it says your'e member #3539. How's that work?

actually, I'm no.#855 , but what gts me is I cant even log onto my personal page. I can't access my in mail to get any messages,can't get to my freinds list(of which I have alot) or retrieve ANY kind of info from my site. Idon't mind startin all over again, but what happens to my stuff? I just want to get in under my old name ,george 53, and be able to access my freinds list.This is really a drag, and it's bummin me out. I still can't figger out what happened, has anyone else had this B/S problem? I never logged out, so why did it ask me to log in? and then, why din't it let me in? And it keeps tellin me I have too many letters in my password, but it won't let me erase any out of the box to redo it! What changed? even the colors on the forum seem to be different, like they're real bright or somethin. This is drivin me NUTS! Gregg, please help me, I'll be good, I PROMISE!!! :DI also noticed that the signatures are gone from the bottom of some of the posts. Was there a comp up grade or somethin? Hey George 53, I was in the middle of P MMin you last night when the screen froze on this forum. i dont know if everything will work now or not. Seems that every thing that will work works a lot slower too, if at all. i had to shut down the power and start ove rto get on to the forum. Ed Shaver

This software is weird. If you changed certain info in your personal "My Controls" section, it might just click you off. Happened before to a few members when I was a mod. Can't help you right now... just have to wait until Gregg (Traveling to iHobby) gets back on-line. He can click one check box and you are back on-line with your old logon.

ED, I knew sompin wuz up! Anyway, I took a deep breath, asked God to help me out, and BAM, I was able to get back in under my old name, george 53. My new password is 15 digits long, but who cares, I'm in like Flynn!!!So ,go ahead an send me some mail, caz I'm 1 HAPPY CAMPER!!!!YESSSSS!!!!!

Jairus, Thanks so much for the info.I just happened to get lucky, an with a prayer I was able to get a new password and get back in! Now I don't hafta bother Gregg about this, caz I've done it once before, an he'll probly think I'm an idiot! But again, thanks for the help, your ok in my book!
