The goal, fit C6 chassis and interior under a C1 1960 body with as little body modification as possible. I saw one of those kit cars where a modern chassis was stuffed under and early model Vette. Frankly, it looked horrible. The body was stretched at the doors to fit the longer chassis. It ruined the classic looks of the car. So I'm taking it the other way.  I painted it once, but had issues with it flaking off the body, hood shows the grey color I'm going with. Red Interior and white cove will finish this out.

I like this concept. Like you, I have seen a few of these 1:1's done. Mostly at Mecum Auctions, most look pretty original except for the wheels and the windshield. Was there a particular C6 kit you're using ??

The 1:1 scale builds only look okay in my opinion. They do stretch the body to fit the chassis, which changes the balance of the design.  The body is the Revell '60 and the rest of the parts are also Revell, which the kit I'm using was already built and I had to tear it down to use it.

The reason I asked was that it is something I have thought about buy never have gotten to. I was thinking that I could graft the frame and or suspension front and rear so that I wouldn't have to destroy the appearance of the C1. The tread width may have to be narrowed some.
