AMT 69 GTX conv. and hardtop

I have a AMT 69 GTX conv. kit that I'm parting out but I want a hardtop so my plan was to buy the pro street hardtop so I could have the tubbed chassis for another project and use the stock chassis out of the convertible. Anybody know any reason I can't use the conv. chassis in the hardtop? Are they the same?

That's exactly what we all had to do before the stock HT kit was finally released.
