Anyone have an Alumacoupe kit to hand who could tell me the wheel diameter (I think the front and rear are both a scale 16”) and the front and rear tire diameters?

Did a search but didn’t find what I was looking for...wanted an idea of the sizes to see if they’ll work for a project before buying a kit just to see what they are...

Thank you!

I have a built model with those wheels and tires. I'll measure them and let you know.

Thanks buddy!

The wheels measure .705 in./ 17.5 mms lip to lip. So, they're definitely a 16 in. wheel.

Front tires are .99 in./ 25 mms tall by .35 in. 10.5 mms wide.

Rear tires are 1.17 in/ 30.5 mms tall by .55 in./13.5 mms wide

Jimmy Flintstone used to sell just the tires from that kit.  I believe those were also used in a couple of the short-run resin kits he made for Testors.  By accident I found that a lot of Monogram wheels fit those tires (wheels that fit their Goodyear Rally GT tires, like the Early Iron Series kits).  He sets up at NNL East every year, for a long time he'd have bagged sets of tires available.  Not sure if he still has any though.

That’s SUPER helpful, thanks buddy!  Exactly what I needed!  I really appreciate you taking the effort to help me out there!

Huh!  Interesting!!  I ordered a kit today knowing that they’ll work for what I’m looking for, and I knew I could cast the wheels once I modified them to my liking but I’ve never cast tires before...good to know that I might be able to raid my spares stash if I need to, or just get the Flintstone ones and save myself the trouble!  Appreciate the info!!
