Quick one week build. Did it as kind of a diversion from the usual. Kit is not a bad kit, but not good either. Everything fits very well; very little seam lines. The motor is the best thing out of the entire kit, but is not correct for the STI version. (It is the 2 L instead of the 2.5 L) The body facia is having a hard time trying to decide if it's a stock or STI version. But it looks decent when finished. Paint used on the body was Cobra Colors GT Metallic.(Porsche) The interior was a mix of Tamiya acrylics. Would recommend this kit just for the motor. Feel free to comment.

:D Bren, izzat the new Revell PLASTIC kit of the Sooby? I built the Blue Die Cast kit last year an yours looks sightly different. Mebbe a newer year? I really lked the metal kit, it was easy to build, and I'm not really even into tuners. Yours came out REALLY nice!!! :D

Thanks for the comments.

I really don't consider this car to be a tuner as it comes from the factory. But yes, it is the new Revell plastic kit. I haven't built the metal version so I don't know what the differences are. It was easy to build. Most of the issues were mainly on the body, not being accurate to the STI version. It's closer to being stock. The interior is nice as well but it's the stock interior, not the STI version. Comparing it to my 1:1 car that I own, the engine bay is accurate. I would have preferred the stock version and then have the STI parts as add on parts. But that's just my opinion.

Factory tuned man! :D sits like the rally car too. I would like to put one of those resin turbos I got but not sure if I want to do a custom tube to the top kind or just stock position, can't find any good "tuned" pictures. :D

you have a 1:1 STI? :P sick I love Scoobys. I knew right when I saw it it didn't have the EJ25, but it is very accurate. I have one to build but was only going to build it after I saw someone else build one and now I will have to do that very soon.

very nice job! i really like how the rims turned out, they look really good.

i had a silver '02 WRX that i put massively too much money into. sold it to a rich kid who destroyed it shortly afterwards, no suprise. :D

Dave

nice, any pictures? before the rich kid that didn't understand the STI and the power and the meaning of the car destroyed it?

I don't have an STI. :D I own a '04 WRX Wagon with Titanium Silver paint. It was close to a 50/50 weight distribution. I drove the 4-door sedan and didn't like it as much as the wagon. My car gets really good gas mileage considering how much the car weighs. The last trip I went on with the car weighed down with luggage, my average was anywhere between 31 and 35 mpg. And that's going over the mountains. It's better than my friend's new hybrid. :P

Very Kleanly Detailed Scoobaru :o I have always wanted a Fullsize Blacked out wagon, or a Traditional Blue Rallye Clone just for fun! ;) Yes I would be Krazy enough to Jump the Rallye Clone like the real ones :D

you know i never really took any pics of it believe it or not! took lots of video's, but i don't know why no pics. there were some pics of it on FastWRX.com when it was still mostly stock. it wasn't an STi either, but it was ton's of fun! i never up to that point had a car that did everything good! if i were to have another it would be a wagon, the Saab version actually. i think it would be very cool to build up the Saab with all the proven Subie parts and blow some domestic metal away with it. i love American cars, but it would just kill some dedicated American muscle guys to have thier doors blown off by a Saab of all things! i know already from killing them with the Subie! :D

Dave

See that last comment, is EXACTLY and I mean exactly the reason why I love imports. American muscle is awsome too but those guys........

Saabaru.....The 9-5 Aero or which, 9-2X? Viggen? ;) Yeah that's always classic, "I just got blown away by a Saab". They are pretty fast but not a lot like Saab's or Scaabs whatever you like to call them :o

That's pretty cool though, any links to the videos? I would also love to build up a Saab and blow away everybody also.
