Slotto Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 My buddy stopped by the other day and dropped of a buttload of built cars and trucks. SCORE! This Firebird caught my eye primarily because it wasn't loaded down with glue. After stripping her down I only found one problem. Deviated septum. ;D Stay tuned...
Geno Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 Love the Firebirds, they are sooooo much better looking than same year Camaro's. I can't wait to see where you go with it.?
Deuces ll Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 One of my uncles had a red '68 with the inline ohc 6 in it with a glide.....
Slotto Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 Thanks Gene, I'll try not to disappoint... I disassembled the engine so I could paint the block Then I figured go ahead and wire it too. Then got a splash of color on the body and decorated some of the guts. Here I used the molotow chrome pen, some home made bmf, fake veneer shelf liner, printed off some guages from an image search of 68 Firebird guages, sharpie detailing on the radio and some white, black and red paint I've never gone this crazy on a dash before Stay Tuned
Slotto Posted July 21, 2020 Author Posted July 21, 2020 Putting on the final touches... Test fit the body to see the stance. Looks a little high in the front. The interior. I've never taken a build this far before. Battery cables, radiator hoses, heater hoses, coil wire, distributor wires, brake lines and fuel lines.
Slotto Posted July 23, 2020 Author Posted July 23, 2020 She's finally under glass. You can find her here. Thanks for playing along
doorsovdoon Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 That's one happy looking Firebird! Good job on the engine wiring, something I need to start doing.
