hedotwo Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 (edited) Have a nice '62 Continental sedan that is lacking a couple of parts including glass. Am I correct in seeing that the '61-64's are pretty much the same? It even looks like the '65's are close. If the '65's work then there are some cheaper choices to get what I need. Also, it looks as though the convertible front glass may work with the sedan? I have a '61 convertible that I haven't disassembled yet to restore so I can't try the glass in the sedan, but it looks like it might work. Edited August 16, 2020 by hedotwo
Can-Con Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 The '65 glass won't work, completely different. '62 Thunderbird windshield "might" fit. IIRC, they were the same glass on the real cars. '65 tail light lenses might fit, I used a set on a '64. They were changes made through the run of the body style including a wheelbase change so not all parts interchange. What parts besides the glass do you need? . . As a side note ,, I have a '62 I'm looking for front and back bumpers and the rear grille for if anyone has those parts they could trade.
hedotwo Posted August 16, 2020 Author Posted August 16, 2020 I have a '62 Bird convertible kit and I tried the glass on the Continental HT and it was too narrow to fit. Not sure if a T-Bird HT glass would be any different, or if that would fit my sedan Lincoln. I'm in need of the glass, passenger side skirt, and the hood ornament. I'll put a post in the Trading or Wanted section in the next few days maybe. Thanks Steve
