With a great deal of help from Tim and his vast knowledge of this Montego's. I'm trying create a 76 NASCAR body. I started with the Revell 1975 Torino. Here we go! This what we have so far.

Looks great so far Gerald. I have every confidence that you'll make a great Montego for us mere mortals :)

It is looking great!!!!

One of the issues this Torino has is the trim on top the door. It is too thick and raises the door and line making the openings to small, especially the 1/4 glass , Revell added the height of the entire piece to the top of the door and 1/4 glass whereas the trim is almost flat on top the door and rolls over the side.

Even it out to open up the window the way it should be.

Major kit flaw that drives me insane!!!

i marked up one of your pics for reference.

Don't forget me Gerald, I am in! The 76 Montego looks awesome. A must have for us Wood Brothers fans,

Changed the Windshield back to use the Torino glass.

I want one. My first real stock car was a '72 Torino with a 429 and later a 460. I ran it at one track, my partner at another. The 1st year he won a championship, I was 10th in points and 1st in a snowflake league.

It was re-bodied with a '74 Montego body in 1983. Same roof line as the kit.

Any updates on these? I'm interested in a few of these

They were cast and all sold out almost two years ago.
