youpey Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 does anyone make the mazda rotary pickup in 1/24/25 I think the answer is no, i google searched and found nothing, but i figured i would give it a shot this is the truck i am referring to https://news.pickuptrucks.com/2018/03/1975-mazda-repu-could-a-taste-of-the-past-be-a-hint-of-the-future.html thank you in advanced
Russell C Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 I tried a Google search, with some site-specific looks into Shapeways' site, and the RocketFin Resin site, but turned up nothing, too. Who knows, there still might have been a really obscure Japanese market-only hotrod pickup kit made. I'm occasionally surprised when that kind of kit - such as the Nichimo Mitsubishi Colt / Champ - shows up on ebay, but they are inevitably really expensive. You might be looking at a project of turning the Revell stepside Ford Courier into a fleetside like Patric Malir did, and then turning that into a Mazda.
youpey Posted November 14, 2020 Author Posted November 14, 2020 thank you for looking into this. i certainly dont have the abilities to do the cut and chop job. i picked up the nissan sunny kit, which certainly isnt the one i was looking for, but fits the job as a japanese very small pickup.
Oldmopars Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Not that it can’t be done, but it would take a very skilled builder to even change the Courier into a Mazda Rotary truck. Almost every panel, grill and tailgate were different. I love those trucks and if there was a kit I would get it.
