MarkJ Posted December 23, 2020 Author Posted December 23, 2020 Frame finished. Basically box stock except for the headers and exhaust cutouts.
MarkJ Posted December 26, 2020 Author Posted December 26, 2020 Hoping to get the build together in the next couple of days. All the sub assemblies are finished . Just need to put them all together and decal and future.
MarkJ Posted December 26, 2020 Author Posted December 26, 2020 Finished interior. Needs to be dulled down, but once its installed it will not be that noticeable.
Bills72sj Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Scratch building half of an engine block. Most impressive. I would have just raided the parts box or gone with the 421 Poncho Parts Pack. Love your build so far.

I tried to raid the parts box but sadly none of the engine halves I had would come close to working. I could never understand why some one would just take the right half of and engine and the water pump from a kit. And leave the rest. I bought a 63 corvette kit lately from a hobby lobby and somebody had removed the corvette body and replaced it with a camaro body. I should have known not to buy it because the plastic wrap was gone from the kit. I came back a week later and they had put the same kit back on the shelf to sell to some one else. Not cool.
MarkJ Posted December 30, 2020 Author Posted December 30, 2020 As of 3:47 this afternoon the build part of the model is over. I futured the decals so they should be ready to go tomorrow. Hoping maybe I can take the final photos Friday.
MarkJ Posted January 3, 2021 Author Posted January 3, 2021 Got all the decals on but I have come to the realization that the wheels must have been gold on this car, just like big brothers car, so I need to do that and then future the model and I will finally be finished.
MarkJ Posted January 4, 2021 Author Posted January 4, 2021 Model looks much better with gold wheels. I messed up the bmf on the left rain gutter so I will need to fix that and then future and I will be through. Pretty happy with the results even though there are a few issues here and there that bug me like every build I do.
MarkJ Posted January 7, 2021 Author Posted January 7, 2021 finally finished. More pictures in Drag Racing Models forum. Link below. 1964 Roy Gay B stock Pontiac GTO - Drag Racing - Model Cars Magazine Forum 1
