plumnuts Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 man did I come up with a out of right field idea for the upholstery. I havent seen it done before and woulden't do it to anything I would drive , but hay last time I checked I coulden't get into any of my builds and drive away. I'll post pics when I get a mock up done. THIS IS GOING TO BE WILD!
Rudy Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I also really like the flip front end. Looks factory. I think the lowering of the top into the body (or dropping the lip or whatever you want to call it) is also a great idea. That phantom 3 window is awesome too...... Keep up the good work fellas Rudy

I'v got more time in this build than any others I'v done. stepping up the level of detail is harder than I thought ,but man is it worth erery hair I pull out of my head!
MikeMc Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Not harder just new...I went through the same thing when I did my '34 pu. But the more I did the more fun I had and refined my skills at the same time! your chassis turned out killer !!!! Keep Building on my '37 I'm going after the "Minotti Style" and I'm going for a slammer Highboy......stay tuned

Biker Bob Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 WOW!!! what a great job! keep the pics coming this thing is awesome!!
plumnuts Posted December 13, 2008 Author Posted December 13, 2008 hay MikeMc. took you advice and made up some side panels for the roof. glued and primed top and didn't look right. made the top way to thick. studied the pic you sent me(thanks buy the way, I do mutch better with pictured instructions). and noticed the tops and bodys ary different. my top has more of a bubble factor,-refer to very first pic out of the box- the think is huge. and the body is longer in the back on mine , look at the door line from the rear fender. I just wanted to let you know I tryed, but it diddn'work for me (wish it did) and tanks again for the input.

GOTH KUSTOMS Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 (edited) hay dude, good guess, but again wrong, i'm almost there so just a little more and I'll post a pic. getting excited about this it's looking cool Yeah umm well ummmmm I still cant wait to see this. this build is come'ng out awesome, so I know the interior will be a shocker Edited December 13, 2008 by unforgiven
plumnuts Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 OK. now I can let you in on the secret of the interior. didn't want to say before due to the fact I't came out bad and had to ditch the whole thing.anyway here it is. wait for it, wait for it BAM! what do ya think? molded the seat in from the deck lid to the floor and also built a floating center arm rest. will spray the firewall to match the floor. and put in some more detail on the door panels. also frenched in the tail lights if ya didnt notice.
george 53 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Whoa, Mike, is THAT ever sharp Daddy-O.Looks great! Just waitin ta see the final result! I KNOW it's gonna be KILLER!

MikeMc Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 BAM! what do ya think? KKKKKKOOOOOOLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!! DITCH the Top, slam a low roll thru the rear deck and go topless!!!!!
plumnuts Posted December 16, 2008 Author Posted December 16, 2008 MikeMc you have some radical ideas. that is definatly somthing I will look into, I'll mock up a shorty tube to set on top befor drilling the holes. I GOT THREE DAYS IN THIS SEAT , and thanks for the ideas.
plumnuts Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 well the coupster is done! I love it and hate it at the same time. I steped out of the box on this one. thats what I love about it. after spraying gloss on the thing I saw all the bad spots that I didn't see in primer (that is what I hate about it ) it's bad enough to annoy me ,but not bad enough to dip it. any way here are som pics of mods that might not be seen after it's together. hope you like it and to see more she is going under glass. thanks for the input on this build, it helped alot.
Slim Louis Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 I think it turned out great! Really like the colors!
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Awesome job, thru and thru, just killer!!!!
