Hws5283 Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Would it be ok to airbrush vallejo model paints onto pieces primed with Tamiya liquid primer ? Ive heard people say to stick with the same brand for the most part when painting models (same brand paint and primer) but could I ignore that in this situation ?
El Roberto Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 I use Tamiya primer under everything. Never had a problem.
Mcpesq817 Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 Same here - I haven't had a problem with Vallejo over Tamiya.
dmthamade Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 Tamiya primer is like Franks Red Hot, if you get what i mean... Don
charlie8575 Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Tamiya, being a lacquer, can be top-coated with any paint you'd like. Just make sure to let it dry thoroughly. I recommend overnight. Charlie Larkin
