BillR Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 I've been searching the aftermarket world for a set of wheelcovers for a '66 Ford Fairlane. (Pic stolen from eBay) Any one have an idea who makes or can make them? Scenes Unlimited has one that is similar, but much taller centers.
Tom Geiger Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 1965 Ford Fairlane Modified Stocker has these. Maybe same as Scenes Unlimited, center is tall. But available at Hobby Lobby now.
BillR Posted January 30, 2021 Author Posted January 30, 2021 Awesome! Thanks. Those look close enough for my purposes. I'll seek them out.
Rodent Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 Scenes Unlimited covers are the 66 Galaxie 15 inch versions that were also used on the Bronco. Revell screwed the pooch and the Bronco wheels look like 13 inch versions. Several aftermarket suppliers stepped in and fixed their boo-boo. The ones Tom pointed out are the ones you need for the 14" covers that "may have been" used from 65-67 on the Fairlanes. My 67 GTA that I purchased at a used (up) musclecar dealership in late 1976 had two of these wheelcovers still in place.

I was the second owner of a bone-stock '66 Fairlane 500, 289, automatic, in Tahoe Turquoise. These were the wheel-covers that came with it. Hence my search. Next will be the bench seat because I wasn't smart enough to research the two different AMT kits.

You should be able to find a usable interior from the 427 version to get the bench seat. What are you going to do about the hood?

It leaves bulges on the underside, that are displeasing. I may go back and grind them down, but haven't mustered the courage.
Rodent Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Paper towel and white glue, painted very dark grey or black. "Underhood insulation blanket" will cover a multitude of sins.
