recently, i had been hit with the builder's block, no desire. i am sure alot of you know where i am coming from...

at a recent show, i bought 10 kits of various styles. then it hit me. was i going to become a collector? no! time to start building.

i bought the allison thunderland, i really like the syle of the '67-'69 blunderbirds, with no real intentions. the more i studied the body, the more the bug hit me. i could see the end result in my mind. i thought, i am doing it.

so...another out-of-left-field road racer.

i started a little over a week ago and this is where it is at.

i like this perspective. curves like a woman. :P

underneath that hood bulge, i am planning on a dual turbocharged, indy four-cam ford.

can someone suggest a good donor kit with the 255 ci motor. i would greatly appreciate the info.

if i cannot find one, i will try and scratch one together.

anyway, thanks for looking. as always any comments or suggestions welcome.

what do you think, Nick?

:P WOW, DALE, now THATS dareing to be REAL different! A road racing "Bargebird"! with a 4 cyl. engine, no less. hey thanks, george. i am glad you get it.

no, the motor will not be a four cylinder. it will be the ford racing dual overhead cam, destroked 289 based, windsor V8. since it is based on the small block windsor, i can use a World Product aluminum 351W block and poke and stroke it to 460 cubes. this with dual turbos should move this pig into the 200s.

hey steve, thanks for the info. i checked your build of the olsonite eagle and it looks like you used the wedge head motor. am i correct? if i am, you would not happen to have the four cam available, (wink, wink) that i could some how pry out of your hands, would you? :P

again, thanks guys.

Dale,

I'm glad to see that you're at it again!!

That thing is so wild that you could take off the wheels, add some rockets and you'd have a futuristic spaceship!! :P

Thanks for sharing,

Obviously, you did not get this illness out of your system with the wild crazy 1960 Ford from a few months ago, did you? You are back at it, and this thing is ever wilder, if that is possible. Great idea...it doesn't exist in metal, so you create it in plastic and putty....why not? I do think it needs a BIG engine in it though. It is wild outside, so wild inside seems to work for this one. I don't know, but either way, this is going to be a wild ride, I am sure.

i agree whole-heartedly. depending on the boost, 1200 hp should make this a "real hand full".

hey nick. if you do not mind, i would like to put you as the driver. that is if you are old enough for a brewery sponsored racer.

no new updates. will start on the chassis this weekend. the chassis will have the lower rocker panels installed. that is why the body looks so naked right now. the rockers will be housing the turbos and the intercoolers behind the front tires. that is the plan anyway. you know what they say the best laid plans... :)

hey nate, are you going to be at next month's meeting?

Happy Thanksgiving

First off Happy Thanksgiving to you too and others.

I dunno, 30-40lbs. of boost sounds good, I dunno what do you think  No traction control, ehh it might be a hand full.

I'd be delighted ;) and I don't care, i'm not one of those, oh it'll give a bad influence, persons.
