Maserati sports cars used radiators that had expansion or header tanks - similar to the Alfa open wheelers - the tanks were tapered - the radiators all looked alike -  their dimensions varied depending on the engine size …. This one was made with spare parts, Evergreen strip, and a scrap of Renshape for the header tank -

Re Renshape - the brown Renshape has medium density - so it is subject to scratches on the surface when you shape the part - not a big deal - just prime - that will reveal the scratches - a little more sanding - and then paint / treat like resin to finish …

Over the years i have glommed a bunch of auction photos of the engine - these are two - so i know exactly what the engine looks like - i dont have measurements - but i can judge the dimensions roughly - im making an engine that will fit the engine bay - ill end up with something that is pretty close to scale …

The engine was a 2 liter DOHC straight 6 cyl with Weber carbs and dual sp plugs - one distributor perched on the forward right hand corner of the crank case and the second distributor attached to the end of the exhaust side cam cover - if there was a prettier sports car engine - ever - please post your competition -
