How would I get this wood look from start to finish ? I have no clue how to do this .

Look in the "Tips & Tricks " on the forum and you'll find several tutorials on this. Their are an endless number of ways to replicateate the wood look.  Just a couple of examples in paint. Some builders are even using real wood.
