johnnyb Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I'm building the AMT/Model King 70 Z-28 and I need to put the hood stripes on and I'm keeping the hood open, so I need to cut the decals for the part the goes in front of the hood from the part that goes on the hood itself. (I hope that description works.) How do you guys do this? Do you cut them dry or do you put them on and cut them on the car? Thanks, JB
Hillbilly Deluxe Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I put them on in place and then cut them before they are too dry with a surgical blade. Hope this helps.
cruz Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Even though my trunk doesn't open, the same rule applies her, make sure you cut them just before they dry and most of all, you have to make sure your blade is brand new. The surgical knife advice is very good. If you use decal setting solution, it would be a good idea to use it right after cutting your decals!!
Spike Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 if your haveing trouble keepin the hood closed, tape it from the underside maybe and and put the decals on and cut em with a new blade
