Chaparral trans Am Camaro

Has anybody tried using the AMT full front bumper 70 1/2 Camaro kit to make the Chaparral trans am car ? I am attempting do do it & am having problems finding a set of headers to fit. I'm using the 350 motor that comes with the kit & pretending it's a 302. It's a very tight fit between the engine block & the subframe rail. I also want to attempt to mount the battery in the heater delete area like the real car, but again there isn't much room. I'm working on modifying the floor pan & the dash as well.

Maybe try the headers from the Revell '69 Z/28?  If you have to, swap cylinder heads too, so the headers fit as tightly as they do in the '69 kit.

The headers from the Revell '69 Nova SS 2'n 1 kit might work also....
