A&N Volvo engine D13. Scale 1/24

A&M truck models has just put out this kit ! this will Fit in the Italeri Volvo VN 780 that is missing an engine .

And to put in other Italeri Volvo FH kits with wrong TD120 engines, the D12 was upgraded to D13 in 2005 so after that it's right in many of the Volvo trucks.
It looks like a nice engine kit.

Wonderful! That’s great news. I had planned to put an engine in my VNL 780. I’ve been stalking the FH4 kit to rob it of it’s D13. I hadn’t grabbed it yet because the kit price was pretty high. Not that this one will be cheap, but A&N’s quality and accuracy is worth it. Thanks so much for posting this!

Perhaps A&N will be releasing a late model Volvo for the North American market?

No but they are doing a Freightliner Argosy North American Left hand drive !

That’s fine with me, I’ll take one of those. They made the first gen in resin a while back, and it’s hard to find. I’d prefer one of those, but I’d be pleased with the second gen Argosy as well. 

That 3d model looks a bit off in the grille area, though it’s the newest design, the center lower drop is wider. Maybe it’s the angle of the photo making it look too narrow.

Anyway, I read somewhere that Freightliner has dropped the Argosy, it’s last production year being 2020. That’s too bad, for it was more or less the only class 8 cabover still produced for the North American market, though it was still rare to see one on the road. For the past decade and a half it had only been available in North America as a glider.

I just happen to score  the First Gen A&N  Argosy it should be here today , Please don't go by the photo that's a bad 3d image , When A&N truck model's are done making second gen kit it will look way better ,and should be out by the 19th of this month .

The FH4 kit is the 4th generation of the FH cab, and if it has FH16 and 750 emblems and Italeri has done it right the engine should be a D16, not a D13.
But both the D13 and D16 look very similar if they have single turbo and it's not so easy to tell them appart unless it's the K versions of the engines, because the most powerful 750 hp D16K version has dual turbos and the D13K is a Turbo Compound engine and is available with 460 or 500 hp, the D16 is not available with Turbo Compound, just single and dual turbos depending on version.
The A&N D13 version above looks to be a Turbo Compound D13K TC and looks to be very nice.
